Merry Christmas, everyone.

My holiday's been kinda weird. We usually have a party for each side of the family, Mom's side on Christmas Eve and Dad's side the day after or so. This year, Dad's side had their party on the 23rd, and Mom's side had to delay it all the way to this Friday.

So far all I've gotten is a Leatherman, a fruitcake, and $20.

Christmas is going alright here, I suppose. I've been doing a lot of stuff though, but I have a bunch of Giantbomb content to keep me company.

As usual, nothing special happens for me on Christmas. No snow either.

But, this has been one of the best Christmas(es) that I've had in a while. I've received a surprising number of gifts from friends online, in addition to the gift from my mother. I normally don't receive gifts from other people outside my family so I'm genuinely touched by the kindness I've received.

Merry Christmas all!

My family tradition ever since my sister and I figured out Santa wasn't real (eight and six respectively), was to do Christmas on Christmas Eve since we don't like waking up early to do it. So as of this post we've ate dinner and now I'm waiting for everyone to be ready to open the gifts, whilst talking with the family and such.

I'm kinda hoping for SRW OGs2... but I really doubt I'll be getting it. XD

So we've given each other our gifts, my haul included Figuarts Base State Fourze, Volumes 4/5 of the Ace Attorney Manga, a Headset (courtesy of my sisters BF who is an awesome guy, and not just cause he got me these), ACIII, and a much needed GPS because I get lost as fuck easily if I don't know where I am going.

...

...

...

And Super Robot Taisen OGs2.

I screamed liked a little girl when I saw it cause I honestly was not expecting it, I can't wait to play it!

Merry Christmas eh?
My parents are pretty inventive when they don't know what I want. New electric shaver, Star Wars shirt and Darth Vader bobble-head, the usual Toblerone bars and framed pictures of my grandparents at their wedding and my dad and uncle as infants.

Merry Christmas everyone. Sort of haven't had much Christmas yet, myself and Fiancée are slowly getting up, this morning, we decided not to do gift this year between each other because of a few unexpected expenses. Although we did buy a new TV yesterday so I guess that will count. We're heading over to my parents this afternoon so that should be a fun turkey overload. We spend last night making gingerbread cookies, with Stat Wars shapes, nothing says seasons greetings like Tie Fighters, and Storm Trooper heads.

So, here's what I got from my family:

Posted Image

-Assassin's Creed III
-MST3K Volume 24 (includes Fugitive Alien 1 and 2, The Sword and the Dragon, and Samson vs the Vampire Women)
-The Book of Amazing History
-Handheld scanner and 4GB memory card
-Wool felt fedora
-Messenger Bag of Holding
-(Not Pictured) Autographed first edition copy of Cold Days, the latest Dresden Files novel.

And like I said earlier, I'm making enough money both helping out and in presents that I may be able to buy the Complete Selection Double Driver; now that I have the man's hat, I kind of HAVE to...

It was quite the Vita Christmas for me:

I got the ACIII Liberation Bundle + a case and screen protectors, Playstation All-Stars, Uncharted: GA, and MGS HD Collection. I've been playing this sucker like crazy lately and marveling at all the awesomeness.

Vita HD Collection or PS3?

And I see how it is now. You abandoned me on the front lines fighting zekes for a magical lyrical handheld with a reference you'd miss since you never saw the series. ;_;

I'm not a cool guy like hobbes so what I received was some Sword Knights, a Storm Strider, and good old Stormwall.

The Vita version. Lack of Peace Walker is sad, but I already owned a digitial version of the PSP release from way back when. I'll pick up the PS3 version someday, I figure. Gotta use that transfarring!

haha, I'll get back to the war eventually! I'm just on shore leave now. XD

I've made sure to get all the updates for GBO at least, so it'll be easy enough to jump in at a moments notice. And yes, the reference is lost on me. T_T

Those Cygnar dudes are looking pretty freakin' awesome. *hugs Stormwall*

BTW, Amuro: I had to google "The Book of Amazing History", but it sounds pretty doggone great. I'm a sucker for stuff like that.

Hobbes: When I first opened it, I got "The Book of Useless Information", but my parents said the presents got mislabeled and that one was for my brother.

I received about $3,000 in tips from the people who live at my job. Financially, this was probably the best Christmas I have ever had. I love rich people and their Christmas generosity.

I received some money here and there from relatives as well, and a nice bottle of cologne: "Obsession" by Calvin Klein. My folks really don't understand me very much, so they simply settle for giving me money. I do appreciate the cologne bottle, though, as I was in need for something new.

I bought myself the 70th anniversary edition of Casablanca on Blu-Ray and the Tron: Evolution Collector's Edition both on sale for $30 each, just to treat myself for Christmas as well.

My brother's gift to me was he and his wife telling me they'd like me to help out their child any way possible if he or she is interested in the martial arts. Of course, baby ain't due until June or July, so I've got a ways to go before I find out if I actually get this Christmas gift.

My aunt and uncle got me some European licorice (which is pretty damn awesome, I usually devour it inside of 24 hours), a set of "stubby" tools for those places where you can't get anything full-sized into (like a plane fuselage that I worked on with my uncle until dinner), a bit of cash and a lot of leftovers (I swear they still think I'm a starving college student ... except they know I'm not in college).

And then my parents e-mailed me with a notification that they had bought an HP desktop for me (or rather, that Santa did). Looks like I'll be able to resume my sub-contracting work as a video editor.

Merry Christmas Junk Guild, and all a good night!

God damn, that's great about the tips.

Spent the last couple hours playing ExVS with Amuro, Anata and Cyborg. Shit was cash. Best ExMas ever.

Well, feeling a bit better now, at least. Spent pretty much the entire day in bed with a fever, which finally broke around midnight last night.

I don't get Christmas presents, since everyone I know is too poor, so I don't want them to waste money on me. So instead I reckon I should say what I got everyone else.

I got my Dad a CD/DVD collection of Led Zeppelin's "Celebration Day" concert, as well as some new speakers. Mom got a Taylor Swift DVD and tickets to see Les Miserables in the theater, since she hasn't seen a movie on the big screen in years. Kisy got Pokemon White 2, as well as the Dragon Ball movie collection and the first box set of Yawara! (thank you RightStuf).

Gotta go to work at 2, so I'm hoping I can rebound enough to get through the day, since I have another day off tomorrow.

I now feel like i got the super boring adult gifts for Xmas this year. The big highlights where a 10 cup rice cooker that makes congee, a new set of track lighting for my living room, so I'm no longer living in darkness, and super kick ass cutting boards. although oddest thing I got was Dark Knight Diesel Underwear, yes that's right Batman underwear for adults, I wasn't sure what to think at first but it's pretty cool. It was an odd xmas for me, it was just me my fiancée and my parents, and that's it. We haven't had an xmas this small in over 5 years, it was fun but a little low key for my tastes.

I had no clue such rice cookers that made congee existed. I must have one.

...wow.

Okay, I don't know who sent me that e-mail today, but whoever (or is it whomever?) it was...I cannot begin to tell you how surprised I was, or how grateful. Seriously, I'm almost speechless. Well, as speechless as I can be. XD

Thank you, thank you so much. I...damn, I dunno what else to say. Just, thank you.
